In a small bedroom, the headboard and closets can hide much of your wallpaper. Plan an accent wall around the image that will remain visible, or choose a repeating pattern for every wall if you want the wallpaper to shape the whole room.
Start with the wall behind the bed
An accent wall behind the bed is a good choice if you want the wallpaper in one clear place and painted walls elsewhere. If that wall has no doors or windows, it also gives you an uninterrupted surface for a larger design.
Check the headboard height before choosing an image. A landscape with its main details near the floor may disappear behind the bed. A design with plenty to see higher on the wall has more room. Try the wall proportions in the preview and compare the image details with the headboard height.
A tall headboard can also be a reason to choose a wallpaper where color carries the design. Soft Abstract Beige is one of our most ordered abstract designs. It has soft transitions between beige, cream, and pink, rather than a single detail that needs to sit in the middle of the wall. That gives you more flexibility to show parts of the image above and beside the bed.
