Wallpaper - Scintilla, Peat

Our Scintilla, Peat wallpaper brings a grounded, quietly textured presence to the wall through a subtle organic pattern set in deep, earthy peat brown. Designed by Wallism Studio, the visual composition features fine, delicate stippling and soft, flowing horizontal undulations that mimic the gentle variations of weathered stone or raw earth. This creates depth across the surface without demanding loud visual attention. Made-to-measure to your exact wall dimensions, our PVC-free wallpapers are printed on paper with a subtle physical structure and are straightforward to hang.

In the room

Because of its deep brown palette and low-contrast, continuous movement, we see this design working beautifully across an entire bedroom or living room to create an enveloping, intimate atmosphere. On a larger, uninterrupted wall, the gentle horizontal grain has ample room to flow naturally, serving as a rich, unified backdrop that anchors the space without competing with your furnishings. It also performs exceptionally well in compact areas like a study, entryway, or powder room, where the darker tone brings instant character and visual depth to tighter boundaries.

Styling it

We would balance the deep, earthy peat tone with warm, lighter furniture pieces to keep the interior inviting and layered. Upholstered pieces in creamy off-white, taupe, or soft oat textiles provide an effortless contrast against the dark background, while natural warm wood elements such as ash or bleached oak enhance its organic, grounded character. To prevent the room from feeling heavy, incorporate matte ceramic decor or brushed bronze accents that catch soft lamplight and complement the wallpaper's understated visual texture.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is defined by its rich peat brown foundation with subtle shifts into charcoal brown and warm umber within the stippled texture. When choosing surrounding paints and materials, we suggest pairing it with soft chalky creams, warm stone, or muted bone on adjacent walls, ceiling, and woodwork. If you prefer a richer, tonal palette, deep espresso, warm chestnut, and soft olive tones sit naturally beside this design, creating a seamless and sophisticated color progression throughout the room.
