Wallpaper - Ginko Folly, Deep Olive

Our Ginko Folly wallpaper brings together stylized ginkgo leaves in an orderly, fan-shaped repeat. Set in a deep olive green with fine radiating linework and soft off-white outlines, the motif balances natural botanical inspiration with the graphic rhythm of classic Art Deco geometry. The scalloped arrangement gives the wall a steady, continuous movement without overwhelming the surrounding space. Made to measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, our wallpaper is designed to be simple to install and brings a considered architectural character to your interior.

In the room

We see this geometric botanical design working beautifully across an entryway, hallway, or dining room, where its repeating fan arches create an immediate sense of structure. Because the scale of the ginkgo fans is medium and consistent, it sits comfortably on both larger uninterrupted walls and more fragmented surfaces with doorways or built-in shelving. In a living room or bedroom, we would place it behind a low-backed sofa or a tailored headboard, letting the upward rhythm of the leaves frame the seating or sleeping area. In a study or powder room, wallpapering multiple walls creates a cohesive, enveloping atmosphere where the deep green tone feels grounded and composed.

Styling it

The clean geometry of the fan repeat pairs naturally with tailored mid-century forms, classic woodwork, and modern silhouettes with soft curves. We would choose warm wood tones, such as walnut or stained oak, to echo the grounded depth of the olive base. Upholstery in textured bouclé, wool, or muted velvet works particularly well alongside the graphic linework, offering a quiet material contrast that keeps the focus on the wall pattern. Matte black metal or warm antique brass hardware can complement the vintage architectural undertone without competing with the rhythm of the design.

Colour combinations

The palette is anchored by deep olive green paired with soft, warm off-white in the linework. To build a balanced scheme around the wallpaper, we suggest pairing adjacent walls or woodwork with warm stone, pale linen, or creamy white to highlight the lighter contours of the leaves. For a richer, more monochromatic look, deeper forest tones or muted khaki on skirting boards and doors ground the room smoothly. Accents in ochre, soft rust, or dusty terracotta provide a warm, natural contrast that sits comfortably against the olive background.
