Wallpaper - Sinuous Ceres, Rose Ivory

Designed by Marta Cortese, our Sinuous Ceres wallpaper captures the gentle, flowing rhythm of tall grasses and delicate seed heads rising against a warm, muted background. What we particularly like about this design is the contrast between the broad, twisting blades in warm wheat and deep rust tones and the intricate, airy wild grasses floating softly behind them. The vertical composition draws the eye upwards while keeping a serene, grounded feel across the wall. Made to measure for your exact dimensions, our PVC-free wallpapers feature a subtle surface texture in the paper that lends organic depth to the botanical illustration.

In the room

Because the composition naturally rises from the base with denser foliage before opening up into lighter seed stems towards the top, we see this working exceptionally well as a feature wall behind a low bed frame or an understated sofa. In a living room or primary bedroom, placing lower-profile furniture along the wall allows the full movement of the grasses to be appreciated without breaking up the upward flow of the design.

In narrower areas such as an entryway or a dining nook, the vertical orientation of the stems helps create a sense of height. The design also performs beautifully across multiple walls in a quiet guest room or home office, where its warm, earthy tones wrap the space in a calming atmosphere without overwhelming the eye.

Styling it

To complement the organic elegance of the motif, we would keep the surrounding decor refined and grounded in natural finishes:

• Pair with warm wood furniture, such as natural oak, elm, or warm walnut, which harmonises with the golden wheat and sepia tones in the grasses.
• Choose textural textiles like slubby linen curtains, wool throws, and bouclé upholstery in cream, oatmeal, or soft sand to mirror the botanical softness.
• Introduce understated ceramic lamps or matte stoneware accents to echo the handcrafted, painterly feel of the artwork.
• Accent with subtle aged brass or muted bronze fixtures to bring out the deeper rust and caramel highlights throughout the foliage.

Colour combinations

The palette of our wallpaper centres on warm cream, beige, wheat, soft taupe, and deep terracotta-rust. To create a cohesive look, we suggest painting adjacent walls and trim in warm off-white, light biscuit, or soft greige. If you prefer more depth and warmth in the space, pulling out the deeper tones with accent pieces in burnt amber, clay, or rich caramel will anchor the room while letting the mural wallpapers remain the focal point.
