Wallpaper - Ginkgo Folia, Blue Shale

Our Ginkgo Folia wallpaper in Blue Shale brings together a repeating fan-like ginkgo leaf pattern with delicate, hand-drawn linework. Layered in soft overlapping tiers reminiscent of classic scalloped art deco motifs, the design combines muted slate blue, steel grey, and soft slate tones. The fine radiating veins across each leaf introduce subtle graphic texture while maintaining a calm, cohesive tonal balance across the wall. Made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, our wallpaper creates a refined backdrop that is easy to hang and tailored precisely to your space.

In the room

The rhythmic scale and cool, muted tones of this design make it remarkably versatile across different spaces in the home. In a bedroom, we see it working beautifully across the wall behind the headboard, where the gentle upward layering of the ginkgo leaves creates a serene, grounding atmosphere. It also suits living rooms and dining areas, where the continuous scallop repeat provides enough visual texture to anchor the room without overpowering everyday furnishings. Because the palette is soft and cohesive, this is one of our mural wallpapers that can comfortably wrap around multiple walls in an entryway or home office without feeling heavy or crowded.

Styling it

To complement the cool slate and blue-grey tones, we suggest pairing this design with furniture that brings warmth and quiet contrast into the room. Warm wood tones, such as natural ash, muted walnut, or honeyed oak, create an inviting balance against the cool backdrop. For lighting fixtures and small decorative accents, brushed brass or soft bronze finishes work exceptionally well, echoing the subtle Art Deco geometry of the scalloped leaves. When it comes to larger textiles, choose understated fabrics in warm ivory, oat, or deep navy to let the fine line work of the wallpaper remain the focal point.

Colour combinations

The design itself is built on a quiet harmony of soft slate blue, subtle steel grey, and muted greyish teal tones. When planning your surrounding interior, crisp off-white or chalky pale grey on adjacent walls and woodwork will keep the overall feel light and open. If you prefer deeper contrast, rich navy, dark denim blue, or warm charcoal can be used on painted cabinetry, woodwork, or upholstery to ground the space. Muted earthy accents, such as soft terracotta, ochre, or warm taupe, also provide a lovely natural balance to the cool blue tones.
