Wallpaper - Rushes II

Designed by Deborah Revell, our Rushes II wallpaper captures the delicate movement of tall pampas grass against a soft, painted sky. Feathery, silvery-taupe plumes rise on slender stalks from a base of finely arched grass blades, set across a backdrop of pale blues with gentle touches of blush pink. The composition offers a spacious, airy feel with its high, open horizon and watercolor-like washes. Produced as a custom made-to-measure design, this PVC-free wallpaper features a subtle physical paper structure that complements the painterly character of the artwork, making it a quiet focal point for calming interiors.

In the room

We especially like this design on a main wall in a bedroom or a dedicated meditation space where the vertical sweep of the rushes can be appreciated in full. Because the detail gathers along the lower portion and reaches upward into an open sky, the pattern works wonderfully behind a low bed frame or simple seating, allowing the plumes to extend upward without being cut off by bulky furniture. On a wide, uninterrupted wall, the gentle horizontal gradient of the sky provides a sense of visual depth and openness.

Styling it

The light, organic character of the design pairs naturally with understated modern and Scandinavian interior styles. We suggest working with low-profile furniture in light woods such as ash or pale oak, which mirror the natural, dry tones of the rushes without competing for attention.

Colour combinations
