Wallpaper - Ginko Folly, Forest

Our Ginko Folly, Forest wallpaper pairs an elegant botanical motif with the structured symmetry of an Art Deco scallop pattern. Fan-shaped ginkgo leaves are arranged in an overlapping, fish-scale repeat, rendered in deep forest green against a soft off-white background. Fine linear veining runs through each leaf, adding delicate detail and visual texture to the geometric rhythm. What we particularly like is how the design balances natural botanical curves with clean, architectural order. Made-to-measure to your exact wall dimensions, our wallpapers are PVC-free and printed on paper with a subtle physical surface structure.

In the room

Because of its rhythmic, balanced scale, this design works beautifully across both full rooms and targeted accent walls. In an entryway or hallway, the repeating fan arches draw the eye upward and bring a tailored sense of structure to transitional spaces. In a living room or bedroom, we would place this wallpaper behind a sofa or bed headboard, where the dark forest green grounds the room while the cream background keeps the overall atmosphere light and welcoming. The medium-scale repeat also sits comfortably in a dining room or home office, maintaining its visual clarity even around door frames and wall art.

Styling it

We recommend letting the clean geometry of the pattern guide your interior choices. Furniture with rounded silhouettes, such as curved armchairs or oval dining tables, will naturally echo the soft contours of the ginkgo leaves. Mid-century modern and Art Deco-inspired settings feel like an effortless match here. To complement the deep green, pair the wallpaper with warm timber tones like walnut or teak, which bring out the depth of the palette. Brushed brass or antique bronze hardware and lighting fixtures offer a refined metallic contrast against the matte green arches.

Colour combinations

The design centres on deep forest green and a soft, warm off-white. When painting adjoining walls or woodwork, a complementary off-white or creamy linen paint keeps the space feeling bright and cohesive. For a richer, more enveloping feel, you can draw directly from the pattern with a dark moss or deep olive green on trim, doors, or cabinetry. Accents in warm ochre, muted terracotta, or mustard also pair exceptionally well with the forest green tones to add subtle warmth without competing with the wallpaper's graphic presence.
