Wallpaper - Ginko Folly, Sage Linen

Our Ginko Folly wallpaper in Sage Linen brings a rhythmic, botanical geometry to the wall with stylised ginkgo leaves arranged in an elegant overlapping fan pattern. The fine, radiating vein lines give each leaf a delicate visual texture, while the scalloped structure creates a calm, orderly flow across the surface. Rendered in a soft sage green over a warm linen-toned background, this design balances classic Art Deco symmetry with gentle organic forms. Produced made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, it offers a refined backdrop suited to spaces where you want subtle decorative pattern without visual clutter.

In the room

We see this design working particularly well in bedrooms, living rooms, dining spaces, and quiet hallways. Because the repeating fan motif has an even, moderate scale and gentle tonal contrast, it sits comfortably across all four walls of a room as well as on a focused feature wall behind a bed or sofa. In spaces with lower ceiling heights, the upward curve of the repeating ginkgo leaves creates a subtle vertical rhythm that guides the eye upward. In dining areas or home libraries, the orderly repetition provides visual interest without competing with artwork, shelving, or lighting.

Styling it

The balance of botanical detail and geometric structure makes this pattern adaptable to both mid-century and contemporary classic interiors. We would pair it with warm timber furniture such as walnut, teak, or honeyed oak to echo the warmth of the linen background. Matt finishes on furniture and quiet upholstery in wool, bouclé, or woven textiles help ground the pattern, allowing the fine linework of the wallpaper to stand out gently. Brushed brass or muted bronze accents on light fittings and hardware sit naturally against the sage and warm stone tones.

Colour combinations

The design itself is built around muted sage green and a warm, pale linen beige. When choosing surrounding paint and decor colours, we suggest leaning into soft neutrals like warm off-white, light oatmeal, and soft stone for architraves and skirting. To create depth in the room, deeper muted forest greens, olive, or warm charcoal on accent furniture or cabinetry offer a grounded counterpoint to the sage leaves.
