Wallpaper - Conoid Grain, Rose Madder

Our Conoid Grain, Rose Madder wallpaper translates the organic flow of natural wood grain into a soft, graphic surface design. Delicate contoured linework drifts across a pale blush background, creating gentle undulating rhythms that give the wall subtle movement without overwhelming the room. The subtle contrast between the dusty rose linework and the warm tinted ground gives this design an airy, refined feel. Produced made-to-measure on our PVC-free paper with a light surface structure, it is easy to hang and works beautifully as a quiet backdrop across full rooms or focused feature walls.

In the room

Because the contrast is gentle and the vertical flow is continuous, we find this design exceptionally versatile throughout the home. In a bedroom, it works well wrapped across all four walls to create a cohesive, cocooning environment that feels softer than flat paint. In a living room or open-plan dining space, the fine grain pattern adds textural interest to larger, uninterrupted walls behind a sofa or dining table without competing with art or lighting. It also suits hallways and entryways, where the upward, undulating lines draw the eye upward and bring visual warmth to narrow or transitional spaces.

Styling it

The delicate rose-tinted tone and organic linework pair naturally with warm minimalist, contemporary, and mid-century-inspired interiors. We like balancing the soft pink undertones with natural timber furniture, particularly pale ash, birch, or richer mid-toned woods that echo the grain motif without matching it too rigidly.

For surrounding furnishings, we suggest keeping shapes clean and silhouettes architectural. Matte black metal lighting or understated brushed bronze accents provide a sharp, grounding counterpoint to the gentle linework, while textured natural fabrics such as soft bouclés or plain woven cushions help bring physical dimension into the room.

Colour combinations

The palette of our wallpaper centres on a soft, pale blush base paired with dusty rose-madder line detailing. To build a balanced scheme around it, we recommend pairing the wallpaper with chalky off-whites, warm alabaster, or muted sand on adjacent painted walls and woodwork. If you prefer a richer, more tonal palette, deep terracotta, dusty plum, or muted burgundy accents in upholstery and rugs will highlight the rosy character of the grain. For a fresh contrast, soft olive or muted sage green accents also sit beautifully against the warm pinkish undertones.
