Wallpaper - Ginko Folly, Indigo

Our Ginko Folly wallpaper in Indigo brings together botanical form and geometric structure through an interlocking fan motif inspired by ginkgo leaves. Set against a deep, dark blue ground, the delicate off-white line work radiates outward in rhythmic scallops, creating a balanced pattern that feels both classic and tailored. The high-contrast palette and disciplined repeat give the surface a clear visual rhythm without becoming visually overwhelming. Like all our wallpapers, this design is made to measure to your exact wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure that makes it straightforward to hang.

In the room

We see this design working particularly well in spaces where you want a structured, enveloping backdrop. In a dining room, bedroom, or living room, the repeating scalloped arches establish an elegant cadence across larger continuous walls. Because the fan shapes have a cohesive, medium-scale repeat, the pattern works nicely on an accent wall behind a headboard or sofa, while also having enough balance to wrap around an entire entryway or hallway without breaking down at corners.

In rooms with steady daylight, the crisp definition between the deep indigo background and the fine pale linework stands out cleanly. Under softer evening lamps, the darker tones recede slightly, allowing the arching geometry to create a warm, intimate atmosphere.

Styling it

The Art Deco influence and tailored symmetry of this wallpaper make it easy to pair with both classic and modern interior pieces. We suggest balancing the graphic rhythm of the walls with clean-lined furniture and quiet solid surfaces.

To let the indigo ground anchor the room, choose furniture in warm wood tones such as walnut, or opt for dark-painted cabinetry that echoes the depth of the blue. Upholstery in textured neutral fabrics helps soften the crisp geometry of the pattern. For lighting and hardware, warm metallic accents like aged brass or muted bronze pick up on the vintage architectural feel of the motif, adding warmth against the cool midnight-blue backdrop.

Colour combinations

The pattern relies on two core tones: a rich, inky indigo blue and a soft, muted off-white. This focused palette gives you a clear foundation to build upon throughout the rest of the room.

Around the wallpaper, we like pairing adjacent walls and woodwork with warm off-white or soft stone grey to keep the space bright while mirroring the line work. For a moodier, monochromatic look, deep navy or slate blue paint on skirting boards and doors creates an immersive feel. If you want to introduce accent shades through cushions or ceramics, muted mustard, warm ochre, or burnt terracotta provide a natural, balanced contrast to the dark blue.
