Wallpaper - Grain Clad, White Wash

Our Grain Clad, White Wash wallpaper brings the quiet visual character of vertical timber cladding to your interior, rendered in a muted palette of pale grey, bleached beige, and soft ecru. We designed the vertical planks with subtle variations in grain structure, gentle knots, and fine weathered details, giving the surface a natural, architectural rhythm without high contrast. The neutral, desaturated tones create an understated backdrop that introduces organic visual texture into a room while remaining light and balanced. Like all our wall murals, this design is custom made to your wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure.

In the room

We especially like how the vertical planks add visual height to a space, drawing the eye upward and creating clean structural lines across the wall. Because the contrast between the individual planks is low and the whitewashed tones are soft, this wallpaper works just as comfortably across several walls in a living room or bedroom as it does on a single accent wall behind a dining table or bed. In open-plan living areas or hallways where light moves throughout the day, the gentle tonal shifts between warm grey and pale sand help define the room without feeling heavy or enclosed.

Styling it

The light, weathered timber look pairs naturally with Scandinavian, modern rustic, or minimalist interiors. We suggest balancing the vertical pattern with rounded furniture shapes and soft upholstery to create a welcoming contrast against the linear motif. Low-profile furniture in light oak, whitewashed ash, or painted off-white finishes keeps the interior cohesive, while darker accents such as matte black light fixtures or dark charcoal ceramics can provide a sharp, intentional anchor against the pale background.

Colour combinations

The design itself is built from muted tones of warm grey, soft ecru, and washed beige. When choosing surrounding wall paints or larger textiles, we like working with soft off-whites, warm chalky neutrals, and pale stone to maintain an airy, understated atmosphere. If you want to introduce subtle contrast into the room, muted earthy shades like clay, olive, or charcoal grey complement the washed timber tones without overpowering their quiet character.
