Heirloom Summer: A Hand-Painted Wallpaper Collection by Fine Artist Clara Hallencreutz

Wallism is proud to introduce Heirloom Summer, a new wallpaper collection created in collaboration with Stockholm based artist Clara Hallencreutz. Rooted in a lifelong fascination with botanical forms, the collection transforms hand-painted murals and personal artworks into timeless wallpaper designs that bring the beauty of nature indoors.

Flowers have long been central to Clara's creative practice. Whether through conceptual photography, large-scale installations, or oil painting, botanicals have served as a recurring visual language - capable of expressing emotion, telling stories, and celebrating beauty. With Heirloom Summer, that language moves beyond the canvas and into the home, transforming walls into spaces rich with character, narrative, and natural beauty.

The collection originated in the artist's archipelago summer house on the island of Dalarö, where walls were gradually transformed with hand-painted vines, flowers, birds, and foliage. What began as a personal creative escape evolved into a living environment filled with painted gardens and natural motifs. Those murals became the foundation for a collection designed to bring the same sense of calm, character, and connection to nature into homes around the world.

Heirloom Summer features four distinctive designs, each based on the artist's original hand-painted works.

Nordic Flora

Nordic Flora celebrates sixteen beloved wildflowers found throughout the Nordic landscape, including snowdrops, wood anemones, lily of the valley, daisies, cornflowers, wild strawberries, and buttercups. The design captures the quiet charm of Scandinavian meadows and invites a sense of nostalgia and seasonal beauty into the home.

Emerald Trellis

Emerald Trellis was designed with the ceiling particularly in mind, allowing climbing vines to wander freely overhead and across surrounding walls. Inspired by the graceful movement of trailing plants, the pattern creates an immersive botanical canopy without a defined beginning or end, evoking the feeling of a garden in constant growth.

Rambling Rose

Rambling Rose is based on a mural originally painted in the library of the artist's Dalarö home. Adapted into wallpaper, the design retains the character and texture of a hand-painted mural while offering versatility through multiple colorways and scalable formats.

Oak Hollow

Oak Hollow draws inspiration from oak branches and great tits featured in a series of original artworks. In the wallpaper design, birds and branches seem to move freely beyond their frames, creating a playful narrative inspired by the enduring beauty of oak trees.

Throughout the collection, the artist's hand remains visible in every brushstroke, preserving the warmth, texture, and individuality of the original paintings. The result is a series of wallcoverings that feel both decorative and deeply personal - designed not simply to adorn a space, but to transform it.

“
Nothing lasts quite as briefly as a flower in bloom. By painting them, I can keep them close. These wallpapers are a way of preserving beauty throughout the year - creating gardens that never fade and blooms that never wilt.

With Heirloom Summer, Wallism continues its commitment to collaborating with independent artists and bringing original, meaningful design into contemporary interiors.
