Wallpaper - Playful Vase III

Our Playful Vase III wallpaper, designed by Cheryl Warrick, brings together graphic still-life forms with vibrant color contrast and painterly texture. The composition centers on a patterned turquoise vase filled with stylized white and pink roses against deep foliage, set over a coral-red checkered surface and a rich deep-blue backdrop. Subtle visual textures and hand-drawn line work give the bold shapes a tactile, illustrative quality that makes a confident statement on the wall. Produced as a made-to-measure, PVC-free mural wallpaper with a subtle structure in the paper, it is easy to hang and creates an expressive focal point.

In the room

We see this design working particularly well as an accent wall in a dining room, living room, or creative home office where its large-scale graphic composition can be fully appreciated. Because the motif is arranged as a bold central still life, we recommend placing it on a wider uninterrupted wall, such as behind a dining table or low credenza, where furniture will not cut into the flowers. In a bedroom, it makes a striking statement behind a low headboard. The bold contrast between the deep blue field and the warm coral grid gives the room an instant sense of personality and cheerful character.

Styling it

To let the expressive shapes and colors of the mural take center stage, we would pair it with clean-lined mid-century or contemporary furniture in warm wood tones, such as teak or natural oak, which complement the warm tones in the tabletop. Keeping surrounding furnishings and larger textiles relatively simple in solid, textured neutrals helps balance the lively checkered and floral patterns without competing for attention. A few matte ceramic accents or simple modern lighting fixtures will highlight the artistic feel of the artwork while keeping the overall space grounded and uncluttered.

Color combinations

The design features an energetic palette anchored by a deep royal blue background, complemented by turquoise, soft coral red, crisp off-white, and bright rose pink. When painting surrounding walls or selecting trim, warm off-white or soft cream provides a clean, calming companion that echoes the floral petals. For a more dramatic, color-drenched setting, pulling a saturated navy or dark slate blue across adjacent walls will create a rich, cohesive envelope. Accents in terracotta, warm blush, or subtle jade green can also be used throughout the space to naturally connect with the elements in the vase.
