Wallpaper - Good Morning Cup

Our Good Morning Cup wallpaper brings a distinct still-life character to the wall with its striking painted study of a classic blue ceramic teacup, saucer, and silver spoon. Created by Kate Jarvik Birch, the design pairs rich cobalt and royal blue tones with crisp white ceramic rims and subtle gray and muted blue-gray background washes. The composition centers on bold brushstrokes and reflective highlights, giving everyday tableware an artistic, graphic presence on a grand scale. Like all Wallism wallpapers, this mural wallpaper is made to measure to your exact wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

We love seeing this design make a statement on a feature wall in a kitchen, breakfast nook, or dining room. Because the motif is a focused, painterly still life, it works especially well on an accent wall where the central cup and saucer can anchor the space without being visually interrupted by tall cabinetry. In an open-plan kitchen and dining area, placing this wall mural behind a dining table or near a coffee bar creates an inviting focal point that immediately sets a relaxed morning mood. It also adds a charming, unexpected touch to a cozy hallway or breakfast alcove where the scale of the artwork can be fully appreciated up close.

Styling it

To balance the bold blue tones and graphic brushwork of the design, we recommend keeping surrounding furniture clean-lined and understated. Warm wood dining tables or simple painted cabinetry allow the rich cobalt blue to take center stage without competing for attention.

• Pair with warm natural woods like birch, light oak, or ash to bring an earthy warmth that balances the cooler blue palette.
• Introduce brushed stainless steel or classic silver hardware and tabletop accents that echo the silver spoon depicted in the artwork.
• Keep surrounding dining chairs or kitchen seating in quiet neutral tones or soft off-whites to maintain a bright, uncluttered atmosphere around the wall.

Color combinations

The wallpaper is defined by deep cobalt blue, brilliant lapis highlights, cool shadow grays, and clean white ceramic rims set against a soft pale gray-blue backdrop. To complement these shades, we suggest pairing adjacent walls with soft chalky whites, pale dove grays, or subtle mineral blues that pick up on the background wash. For a warmer, higher-contrast environment, warm honey wood tones, terracotta tabletop pieces, or subtle mustard accents offer an appealing balance to the deep blue ceramic glaze.
