Our Molten Muse, Neo Mint wallpaper pairs fluid, shimmering vertical color waves with clean geometric cutouts and overlays. Cool mint green, iridescent teal, and soft violet blend into warm copper and deep charcoal, creating an intriguing play between organic liquid motion and sharp architectural shapes. Created in collaboration with Irina Chikati, this design brings a sophisticated abstract aesthetic to contemporary interiors. Our wallpapers are made-to-measure to fit your exact wall dimensions, printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical structure.
About the design
What we like about this design is the striking tension between fluid motion and geometric structure. The background features vertical, liquid-like waves that shift smoothly across cool neo mint, shimmering turquoise, hazy lavender, and muted earth tones. Layered directly over this undulating backdrop are crisp geometric forms, including circles, rectangles, and vertical bands, some rendered in solid taupe and charcoal, others echoing the luminous gradient beneath.
This interplay gives the wallpaper an engaging sense of depth and visual rhythm. From across the room, the large circular and angular planes anchor the wall with a bold presence, while moving closer reveals the fine chromatic transitions within the fluid ripples. The balance between warm coppery beige and cool mint keeps the overall composition versatile rather than overwhelming.
In the room
We see this design working especially well as a feature wall in a modern living room, dining room, or bedroom. Because the composition contains larger geometric elements and sweeping vertical gradients, giving it an expansive, uninterrupted wall allows the full visual narrative to unfold without interruption.
In an entryway or open-concept living area, it establishes an artistic focal point behind low-profile furniture such as a credenza or platform sofa. The vertical flow of the motif also works nicely in rooms with standard or higher ceilings, drawing the eye upward while the solid color blocks ground the lower portion of the wall.
Styling it
To let the expressive qualities of this design lead the space, we would keep surrounding furnishings relatively understated. Sleek contemporary pieces with clean lines and smooth surfaces create a cohesive dialogue with the geometric overlays.
For materials, matte black metal accents or brushed steel pair naturally with the cooler tones, while furniture in smoked glass or dark stained wood echoes the deeper charcoal areas. Upholstered seating in muted neutrals, such as stone grey or soft oatmeal, provides a calm balance, allowing the vibrant mint and iridescent tones of the wall mural to stand out.
Color combinations
The palette in our wallpaper centers on neo mint, teal, soft violet, warm bronze-beige, and charcoal. When choosing paint or accents for adjacent walls, a soft greige or light warm grey ties seamlessly into the neutral blocks without competing with the main feature.
For a moodier, more enveloping atmosphere, deep charcoal or muted slate on nearby trim and cabinetry creates an intentional, dramatic frame. If you prefer to emphasize the fresher notes, bringing in subtle sage or seafoam accents through ceramics or throw pillows highlights the lighter waves in the print.
