Wallpaper - Island Botanica II

Our Island Botanica II wallpaper, created by Yvette St. Amant, brings together bold botanical foliage against a vibrant, painted-looking coral pink backdrop. What we particularly like about this design is the contrast between the broad, sweeping palm and banana leaves rendered in layered tones of olive, sage, and mint, and the bright, energetic background that shows subtle vertical brush marks. It functions as an expressive focal point with a painterly character. Like all our wall murals, this design is made to measure and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface texture, making it straightforward to hang.

In the room

Because of the high visual contrast and generous scale of the foliage, we see this working especially well on an accent wall in a living room, bedroom, or dining area. In a dining room or behind a living room sofa, placing the mural on a wider, relatively uninterrupted wall allows the sweeping leaves and vertical brushwork room to be appreciated in full.

In a bedroom, we like using this design directly behind the headboard to anchor the space with color. The interplay of cool leafy greens and warm coral pink also brings an uplifting presence to entryways or dressing rooms, where the bold scale can turn a transitional area into an intentional design moment.

Styling it

To let the expressive artwork lead the room, we would keep the surrounding furniture relatively grounded in clean lines and warm natural materials.

• Pair with warm wood furniture, such as honey-toned oak, teak, or rattan, which echoes the organic theme of the botanical leaves.
• Introduce neutral upholstered pieces in off-white, oat, or unbleached canvas to balance the intensity of the coral backdrop without competing for attention.
• Incorporate matte black or aged brass hardware and lighting to add a touch of crisp definition around the room.

Color combinations

The wallpaper features a dynamic palette of vibrant coral pink, deep forest green, olive, sage, and soft mint. When selecting colors for adjacent walls, trim, and larger decor, we recommend taking cues directly from these tones.

A warm, creamy off-white or soft linen shade on adjoining walls and baseboards keeps the room feeling open and fresh. If you prefer a richer, more enveloping feel, pulling out a muted olive or moss green for cabinetry or painted woodwork creates a sophisticated link with the foliage. For textiles and accents, muted blush, terracotta, or sage green offer effortless, harmonious pairings.
