Wallpaper - Fort Zachary Beach II BW

This black-and-white photographic wallpaper by Deborah Revell captures a quiet coastal shoreline framed by the sculptural curves of coastal trees. Crisp gray, charcoal, and warm white tones define the weathered trunks in the foreground, while a calm sea and clear horizon stretch softly across the background. The open composition creates a sense of depth and stillness that easily opens up an interior. Like all our wall murals, this design is custom-printed to your supplied dimensions on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure.

In the room

We see this wallpaper working especially well as an accent wall in a living room, primary bedroom, or dining room. The horizontal expanse of the shoreline and the open sky allow the room to feel more expansive, while the bold, sculptural tree trunks in the foreground anchor the space. In a bedroom, placing this design behind a low headboard lets the canopy of leaves and distant horizon remain entirely visible across the wall.

Because the foreground elements sit near the lower third and sides of the frame, the mural also adapts beautifully to an entryway, hallway, or home office. It brings a grounded, natural focal point to spaces where furniture is positioned low or off to the side, allowing the balance between open water and detailed foliage to stand out without feeling crowded.

Styling it

The graphic contrast of the monochrome photography pairs naturally with coastal, contemporary, or heritage-inspired interiors. We would balance the strong tonal presence of the tree branches with clean-lined furniture in warm wood tones, such as weathered teak or light oak, which complement the beachside character without competing with the black-and-white palette.

For surrounding textiles, we suggest simple, breathable fabrics like natural linen and woven cotton in neutral tones. Keeping decorative pieces minimal and uncluttered lets the photography act as the primary visual interest in the space.

Color combinations

Our wallpaper features a balanced monochrome spectrum of soft white, gentle ash gray, and deep charcoal.

When choosing colors for adjoining walls, trim, or cabinetry, we recommend soft off-whites, chalky grays, or subtle sandy neutrals that echo the tones in the shore and sky. For a deeper, more intentional contrast, pairing this mural with charcoal or muted black accents on window frames, doors, or furniture frames helps highlight the sharp detail in the tree trunks and foliage.
