Wallpaper - Glorious Summer I

Created by Silvia Vassileva, our Glorious Summer I wallpaper brings the expressive energy of an abstract landscape directly to the wall. The composition layers bold brushwork in warm yellow, dijon, vibrant pink, and orange in the foreground, grounding them with deep greens and dark accents. In the background, soft greens and muted pinks dissolve into gentle washes of cream, yellow, and gray across an open sky, evoking distant hills and a luminous horizon. Produced made-to-measure on our PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, this design offers an expansive sense of color and movement.

In the room

Because Glorious Summer I has the scale and presence of a large-scale landscape painting, we see it working particularly well on a wide, uninterrupted wall where the full horizon line can stretch out. In a living room or behind a dining table, giving this mural wallpaper the primary focus allows the rich foreground brushstrokes and airy sky to establish the mood of the entire space.

In a bedroom, positioning the design behind the headboard creates a striking focal point while keeping the restful upper washes of cream and pale gray at eye level when seated or lying down. The vertical transition from deep, grounded tones at the bottom to light, open washes at the top also makes our wallpaper a natural fit for an entryway or a stairwell, where the eye travels upward along the composition.

Styling it

With its expressive brushwork and vivid palette, this design carries plenty of visual weight, making a considered balance of surrounding materials especially effective:

• Pair the warm yellow, dijon, and pink tones with natural wood furniture, such as warm oak or teak, which complements the earthy base of the landscape without competing with the paintwork.
• Keep upholstered pieces in quieter, solid neutrals like oatmeal, warm off-white, or soft charcoal so the mural remains the clear visual centerpiece of the room.
• Introduce understated accents in matte black or dark bronze to echo the deeper strokes grounded at the bottom of the painting.

Color combinations

The wallpaper itself combines a rich mix of dijon yellow, bold pink, bright orange, and dark forest greens against an airy backdrop of cream, soft gray, and pale sage.

When choosing paint colors for adjacent walls and trim, we recommend pulling from the quieter tones in the upper sky. A warm alabaster, soft linen, or pale stone gray keeps the room bright while allowing the saturated colors in the foreground to stand out. If you prefer a richer, more enveloping feel, especially in a dining room or study, an earthy olive green or deep moss drawn from the lower landscape elements creates an intimate, sophisticated backdrop.
