Wallpaper - Three Brothers

Our Three Brothers wallpaper captures a 19th-century maritime scene, featuring a commanding three-masted ship cutting across dark, rolling ocean waves. The composition balances the dark sea against a sky painted in soft blues and warm pink-tinged cream clouds, where white sails billow under full wind. Detailed touches, from the figures in red attire on the wooden deck to the American flag waving at the stern, give this wall mural a rich narrative quality and classic historic character. Produced made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure, our design brings an expansive, adventurous focal point to interior walls.

In the room

Because of the scale of the ship and the sweeping horizon, we especially like this mural wallpaper on a wide, uninterrupted wall where the full breadth of the sea and sky can unfold. In a living room, placing it across the main wall behind a sofa allows the composition to anchor the entire space without feeling crowded. The design also feels right at home in a dedicated study or library, where its historic maritime theme pairs naturally with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and quiet reading corners. For rooms with standard or lower ceilings, the tall vertical masts draw the eye upward, giving the wall an open, expansive presence.

Styling it

To let the artwork remain the clear focal point, we recommend pairing this wallpaper with furniture that has grounded silhouettes and quiet textures. Warm wood tones, such as antique pine, walnut, or aged oak, echo the ship's deck and historic character while softening the dark tones of the ocean water. Tailored upholstery in neutral linens or deep navy wool works particularly well to reinforce the classic coastal aesthetic without introducing competing patterns. Matte black metal accents or traditional aged bronze hardware provide a subtle link to the ship's rigging and black hull.

Color combinations

The wallpaper brings together a distinct palette of deep ocean blues, soft sky tones, creamy whites, and warm earthy touches, punctuated by small accents of red. On surrounding walls and trim, warm off-whites, soft bone, or muted cream reflect the lighter tones in the clouds and keep the room bright. If you want a more enveloping, heritage feel, deeper paint shades like muted navy, slate blue, or dark storm gray on adjacent walls or built-in cabinetry create a handsome, tailored backdrop that seamlessly flows into the dark sea.
