Wallpaper - Autumn Grass Dark Green

Created by Avery Tillmon, our Autumn Grass Dark Green wallpaper brings an airy, botanical feel indoors through loose watercolor brushwork. Slender blades of grass and delicate stems rise across a soft, pale backdrop, rendered in layered washes of fern green, sage, and earthy ochre with gentle paint splatters and translucent fluid edges. The vertical rhythm and open composition give the pattern a quiet, organic elegance that adds visual depth without overwhelming a room. Printed made-to-measure on our PVC-free paper with a subtle physical structure, this design brings an artistic nature motif to your walls.

In the room

We see this wallpaper working especially well in spaces meant for rest and reflection, such as a master bedroom, guest room, or a dedicated meditation corner. The upward movement of the watercolor grass blades draws the eye upward, making it an excellent choice behind a low bed frame or along an accent wall where the delicate brushwork has space to breathe.

Because the background remains pale and open, the design can also wrap around multiple walls in a compact bathroom or dressing area without feeling heavy. In a room with ample morning light, the subtle shifts between the deeper green stems and the diluted olive and ochre washes reveal their watercolor transparency, creating a calm and grounded atmosphere.

Styling it

The light, painterly character of Autumn Grass Dark Green pairs naturally with quiet Scandinavian or contemporary interiors that emphasize clean lines and unpretentious materials.

• Choose low-profile furniture in pale woods or light painted finishes to keep the visual focus on the vertical watercolor strokes.
• Pair with washed linen textiles in off-white, oat, or muted olive to mirror the natural softness of the motif.
• Keep wall decor minimal on the wallpapered wall so the delicate stems and soft washes remain uninterrupted.

Color combinations

The design itself features an earthy palette of fern green, soft moss, muted ochre, and warm off-white.

To create a cohesive interior, we suggest pulling from these organic tones for adjacent painted surfaces and millwork. Soft bone or warm alabaster on surrounding walls lets the green blades stand out gracefully. For trim, cabinetry, or accent doors, a dusty sage or deep olive green echoes the darkest stems in the artwork and anchors the room. If you prefer subtle warmth, pairing the wallpaper with muted terracotta or warm biscuit accents complements the soft ochre undertones woven through the grass.
