Created by Silvia Vassileva, our Lake Retreat VIII wallpaper captures the easygoing spirit of lakeside living with illustrative warmth. In the room

We designed this wall mural to serve as a scenic focal point in cabins, vacation homes, and lake houses, but it also sits naturally in suburban homes where you want to evoke that same relaxed, outdoor mood. Because the typography and illustrations form a balanced, self-contained scene, we recommend giving this design a dedicated, relatively open accent wall rather than wrapping it around every corner. It works wonderfully on a feature wall in a living room behind a low-profile sofa, in a welcoming entryway, or above a bench in a mudroom or hallway where the message greets everyone walking through the door.

Styling it

To complement the rustic, cottage-inspired feel of the artwork, we would balance the graphic lettering with warm, organic textures throughout the rest of the room. Natural, unpainted wood furniture, such as a weathered pine console or a reclaimed timber coffee table, echoes the illustrated Adirondack chairs beautifully.
