Wallpaper - Espresso Morning

Our Espresso Morning wallpaper brings an expressive, painted still life to the wall with bold brushwork and vivid color. Created by artist Kate Jarvik Birch, the design captures a charming turquoise espresso cup and saucer paired with a silver spoon and deep, rich coffee tones against a light background. What we especially like about this design is its painterly character, where visible brushstrokes and energetic highlights give everyday morning rituals a vibrant focal point. Like all Wallism wallpapers, it is custom made-to-measure and PVC-free, with a subtle physical texture in the wallpaper paper that adds an authentic paper feel to the print.

In the room

We love seeing this mural wallpaper in dining spaces, breakfast nooks, and kitchen dining areas where its culinary theme feels right at home. The single focal composition makes it an ideal accent wall behind a breakfast table, a coffee bar, or a dining banquette. Because the motif centers around bold shapes with broad painted shadows, it holds its own beautifully on an open wall without needing heavy surrounding decor. In an open-plan kitchen or casual dining area, giving this design a clear, unobstructed wall allows the playful scale and painterly details of the artwork to command visual attention.

Styling it

When styling around our Espresso Morning design, we suggest keeping surrounding elements clean and tactile to balance the lively painted style.

• Pair with light or mid-tone wood furniture, such as natural birch, pale oak, or maple dining chairs and tabletops, which bring organic warmth that complements the cool blues.
• Add brushed stainless steel or chrome accents in lighting fixtures or hardware to pick up on the lustrous tones of the painted silver spoon.
• Keep surrounding textiles simple in solid off-white, oat, or unbleached canvas textures so the wallpaper remains the clear visual hero of the room.

Color combinations

The color palette in this wallpaper is grounded by vivid turquoise, cerulean blue, and deep indigo shadow tones, balanced by rich espresso brown, warm terracotta highlights, and a soft off-white backdrop. For surrounding painted walls and cabinetry, crisp warm whites or soft light greys create a fresh, airy backdrop that lets the turquoise pop. If you want to lean into richer accents, warm cognac leather, deep walnut trim, or terracotta ceramics tie directly into the warm espresso tones within the cup.
