Wallpaper - Homespun Americana II

Our Homespun Americana II wallpaper by Laura Marshall brings traditional folk art and quilt-inspired motifs to life. At the center, "Land of the Free" lettering features stitched-look detailing against a deep navy patchwork star background, surrounded by delicate floral accents. A decorative border frames the composition with painted-style chickens, strawberry baskets, teapots, and charming floral sprigs set against a soft cream field. Like all our wallpapers, this design is PVC-free, produced made-to-measure to fit your wall dimensions, and features a subtle physical structure in the paper.

In the room

Because of its centered patchwork structure and distinct framed border, we see this design functioning exceptionally well as a focused feature wall. In a farmhouse kitchen, dining room, or breakfast nook, placing the motif behind open shelving or a central dining table anchors the room with classic Americana warmth. It also brings delightful character to smaller, defined spaces such as a pantry, laundry room, entry, or powder room, where the intricate folk details can be appreciated up close. In a cozy cabin den or guest bedroom, we would give the design an open wall opposite the doorway so the full square composition remains intact.

Styling it

We recommend letting this wallpaper take center stage by pairing it with simple, rustic furnishings and unfussy textiles. Warm natural wood dining tables, painted shaker-style cabinetry, or vintage-inspired iron hardware naturally complement the handcrafted aesthetic. To keep the space balanced, opt for understated solid linens, gingham checks, or simple woven textures rather than competing large-scale patterns.

Color combinations

The wallpaper is anchored by rich navy blue and crisp cream, accented with soft red, denim blue, muted sage green, and hints of warm basket brown. For surrounding walls and trim, warm off-white or creamy ivory creates a seamless, bright backdrop. If you prefer deeper contrast, painted navy blue trim or muted dusty red accents on furniture and cabinetry highlight the artwork's classic palette.
