Wallpaper - Olive Cranes on Paper

Our Olive Cranes on Paper wallpaper brings an expressive chinoiserie aesthetic to the wall, illustrated by Yumeee. The composition gathers red-crowned cranes and white egrets wading through stylized palm foliage and broad leaves with red veining, all grounded against a rich olive green background. Painted-looking brushstrokes and paper-like visual texture lend depth to the plumage and botanical details, while the generous negative space across the upper half creates a balanced, serene rhythm. Like all our wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure and completely PVC-free.

In the room

We especially like this design along an uninterrupted wall in a bedroom or living room, where the horizontal flow of wading birds can stretch out naturally. Because the intricate motif fills the lower portion of the layout and opens into solid olive green above, it works beautifully behind low-profile furniture like a headboard or sofa without hiding the main character of the artwork. In a creative home office or art studio, the tranquil botanical motif establishes an artistic backdrop that remains grounded and composed across wider wall expanses.

Styling it

The classical chinoiserie aesthetic pairs naturally with both heritage and contemporary interiors. We would balance the detailed painterly foreground with clean-lined, understated furniture in warm wood tones, such as walnut or deep oak, which echo the earthy depth of the background.

For surrounding accents, simple matte ceramic pieces or brushed brass lighting bring a subtle touch of warmth that highlights the golden tones in the birds' beaks and the crisp white feathers. Keeping large textiles relatively quiet in unpatterned weaves lets the wallpaper serve as the clear focal point of the space.

Color combinations

The wallpaper is defined by its deep olive green backdrop, contrasted with soft white, black, and grey feathers, vibrant crimson red crowns, and muted teal-green leaves accented with red veins.

To create a cohesive interior, we recommend pairing this mural with surrounding walls painted in warm off-white, muted sage, or deep forest tones drawn from the greenery. Trim and woodwork in a soft cream or deep olive create a sophisticated frame, while decorative touches in muted rust or burgundy will subtly pick up on the red botanical veining and crane crowns.
