Wallpaper - Simply Celestial I

Our Simply Celestial I wallpaper pairs a bold, vintage-inspired celestial motif with the depth of a star-filled night sky. At the center of the design, a classic golden sun face with layered, radiating rays draws the eye with its intricate engraving-style line work. Set against a rich navy blue background speckled with painterly starlight and sharp, radiant stars, the composition carries a striking sense of mythic astronomy. Like all our wall murals, this design is made-to-measure to fit your exact wall dimensions and is produced on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical structure.

In the room

Because of the strong central focus of the sun motif, we see this mural wallpaper working especially well as an accent wall where the main illustration has space to command attention. In a bedroom, placing it on the wall behind the headboard creates an anchoring backdrop that frames the bed naturally. It also works beautifully in a cozy living room or a dedicated study, particularly on a wider, relatively uninterrupted wall where the radiating rays and surrounding constellation details remain fully visible without being cut off by tall bookcases or bulky cabinetry.

In rooms with warm, ambient lighting, the deep blue backdrop deepens while the golden yellow tones of the sun become richer and more luminous during the evening. If you are decorating a dining room or an entryway, using this design on a single feature wall adds immediate character and artistic drama while keeping the rest of the room feeling open.

Styling it

We recommend letting the bold contrast of the sun and night sky remain the primary visual focal point in the space. To complement the illustrative quality of the artwork, we would pair this wallpaper with warm, natural wood finishes like walnut or dark oak, which echo the classic, historic tone of the engraving style. For surrounding furniture and soft furnishings, choosing understated, solid upholstery in deep navy, warm ivory, or muted charcoal helps ground the room without competing with the detailed linework of the mural.

Color combinations

The palette in our design centers on a rich, deep navy blue background contrasted against antique gold and ochre tones in the sun, with soft off-white starlight accents throughout.

When choosing colors for adjacent walls and trim, we like pairing this wallpaper with:

• Deep navy or midnight blue paint to create a continuous, wraparound effect
• Warm ivory or antique cream on trim and moldings to pick up the starlight details
• Muted ochre, mustard, or caramel accents in throw pillows or drapery to echo the warmth of the sun
