Wallpaper - La Defense and Eiffel Tower BW

Our La Defense and Eiffel Tower BW wallpaper brings an expansive aerial perspective of Paris into the room through monochrome photography. Captured by photographer Jan Becke, the composition centers on the iconic iron tower as it rises above the classic Parisian rooftops and tree-lined avenues, while the modern high-rises of La Défense stand along the distant horizon beneath a soft sky. We particularly appreciate how the balanced grayscale tones bring out the layered architectural details without feeling harsh. Like all our wall murals, this design is made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle paper structure, offering an effortless way to introduce urban scale to your walls.

In the room

Because this mural wallpaper captures an expansive city view with deep perspective, we find it works best on a wider, relatively uninterrupted wall where the full breadth of the skyline has room to unfold. In a living room or a dedicated home art studio, placing this design behind a low sofa or a work table keeps the detailed foreground rooftops and the distant skyline clearly visible.

In a teenage room or a spacious study, our design brings an engaging architectural focal point that feels calm rather than overwhelming. The open sky at the top of the photograph helps prevent smaller or medium-sized rooms from feeling visually crowded, making it a natural choice for an accent wall facing natural window light.

Styling it

The graphic clarity of black and white photography gives you plenty of flexibility when choosing surrounding furnishings. We would pair this wallpaper with clean-lined contemporary furniture to echo the modern architectural elements in the background, keeping silhouettes simple so the room does not compete with the fine structural detail in the motif.

Understated matte black metal fixtures or slim brushed steel accents connect naturally with the ironwork of the tower. For warmth, furniture in neutral painted finishes or muted gray tones keeps the overall atmosphere balanced and cohesive.

Color combinations

Our wallpaper works with a refined grayscale palette, ranging from deep charcoal and slate in the urban grid to soft off-whites and pale grays in the sky. When painting surrounding walls and trim, crisp gallery whites or soft, neutral light grays provide a clean extension of the lighter areas in the photograph. If you want to introduce contrast into the room, deep charcoal or muted slate on adjoining doors and baseboards will echo the darker building lines in the city below.
