Wallpaper - Daring Spirit

Our Daring Spirit wallpaper brings a vibrant, 1970s revival feel to the wall with its expressive ikat-inspired pattern. The design features elongated, flame-like vertical strokes with a woven textile appearance, creating energetic movement and a rich visual texture. Set against a warm coral-orange backdrop, fine turquoise and soft teal striations bleed naturally into deeper rust tones, producing an eye-catching contrast that feels both artistic and nostalgic. Made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle paper structure, our wallpaper is straightforward to hang and easy to love.

In the room

With its distinct vertical rhythm, this design draws the eye upward, making it an excellent choice for a living room feature wall or a dedicated creative home studio. In a living space, we would place this mural wallpaper behind a low-profile sofa to let the full vertical sweep of the ikat pattern remain visible. The strong rhythm also works nicely along an entryway wall, where the expressive movement creates an immediate sense of personality upon entering the home. Because the pattern carries significant visual energy, giving it an open, relatively uncluttered wall surface helps the woven-look details stand out without overwhelming the room.

Styling it

To balance the bold retro character of our wallpaper, we suggest pairing it with clean-lined furniture and grounded natural materials. Warm mid-century woods like walnut or teak complement the earthy coral base, while matte dark metal accents provide crisp definition that matches the darker threads in the motif.

When choosing surrounding textiles, we recommend keeping upholstery simple and solid to allow the wall mural to remain the focal point. A smooth boucle or neutral woven fabric in cream or soft oatmeal creates a calm textural counterpoint to the energetic pattern on the wall.

Color combinations

The design is built around a warm base of coral and terracotta tones, layered with dynamic streaks of turquoise, aqua, and deep rust.

To create a cohesive scheme, consider pulling the soft turquoise into smaller decorative accents, or frame the wallpaper with adjacent walls painted in a soft, sun-warmed linen or muted sand tone. For a deeper, more atmospheric setting, pairing this wallpaper with rich rust, burnt ochre, or petrol blue on painted cabinetry or woodwork will enhance its retro appeal.
