Wallpaper - Timeworn Timber

Our Timeworn Timber wallpaper captures the rustic visual character of weathered vertical wooden planks, bringing together an earthy mix of warm honey tones, deep walnut browns, soft tans, and faded charcoal grays. What we particularly like about this design is the balance between the varied plank widths and the rich, distressed grain details, including visible knots, cracks, and weathered patina. The vertical arrangement creates an inviting rhythm across the wall that adds warmth and architectural interest without overwhelming a room. Like all our wall murals, this design is custom made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle paper structure, making it straightforward to hang.

In the room

We love how the vertical plank composition works to emphasize ceiling height, making it a great match for a living room, dining space, or bedroom accent wall. The varied grain detail means the wallpaper holds its own across a wider uninterrupted wall, such as behind a sofa or dining table, while still feeling cohesive when broken up by doorways or low furniture. In a study or entryway, the warm earthy tones create an immediate sense of coziness and settled charm. Under soft evening lighting, the deeper brown and charcoal tones gain extra depth, while natural daylight highlights the lighter tan and weathered wood grain nuances.

Styling it

Because this design has a distinct visual presence with its multi-toned wooden plank motif, we recommend pairing it with clean-lined furniture and simple silhouettes to keep the room feeling balanced.

• Combine the wallpaper with matte black metal accents or simple wrought iron lighting fixtures to echo the darker charcoal planks in the pattern.
• Choose neutral upholstery in off-white, oatmeal, or warm charcoal to let the rich tones of the wall mural remain the primary focal point of the space.
• Introduce soft, unpatterned textiles such as woven wool throws or smooth cotton cushions to create a comfortable contrast against the visual texture of the wood grain.

Color combinations

The wallpaper features a grounded palette of medium oak, golden honey, rich dark brown, pale driftwood tan, and faded charcoal gray. To build a harmonious palette around it, we suggest pulling the paler driftwood and warm tan shades onto surrounding painted walls or baseboards to keep the space open and airy. For a more dramatic, cocooning atmosphere, you can pick up the charcoal or deep chocolate tones for adjacent trim, accent chairs, or built-in shelving. Muted earthy accents like forest green, terracotta, or warm ivory also sit naturally alongside this palette.
