Wallpaper - Barcelona Skyline Blue & Bronze

Our Barcelona Skyline Blue & Bronze wallpaper, designed by Michael Tompsett, captures the iconic architectural silhouette of Barcelona through an expressive watercolor-inspired style. The composition contrasts crisp architectural outlines against energetic washes, blooms, and splatters in deep navy, indigo, warm bronze, and ochre, all set against a clean white background. The horizontal rhythm spans celebrated landmarks like the Sagrada Família, Torre Glòries, and the W Hotel, giving the artwork a graphic yet dreamy character. Made-to-measure to your exact wall dimensions, our wallpapers are PVC-free and printed on paper with a subtle physical structure that is straightforward to hang.

In the room

We see this design working especially well across a main feature wall in a living room, home office, or study. Because the motif is anchored along a strong horizontal skyline with generous open space above, it creates an expansive, airy feel in both compact rooms and larger living spaces.

In a living room, positioning the mural behind a low-profile sofa allows the architectural silhouettes and vibrant paint splatters to remain fully visible. In a study or home office, placing it behind a desk introduces an artistic focal point that brings personality to the room without overwhelming the space. The clean white upper section keeps the room feeling bright and open, making it an excellent choice for walls with standard or lower ceiling heights.

Styling it

To let the dynamic artwork take center stage, we recommend pairing this wallpaper with furniture that features clean, modern lines and minimal visual weight. Low-profile seating and open shelving work particularly well because they do not interrupt the horizontal silhouette of the skyline.

When selecting materials, warm wood tones such as walnut or natural oak echo the rich bronze and amber watercolor washes, while dark metal accents in matte black or aged bronze resonate with the deep navy outlines. Keeping surrounding upholstery and textiles in understated neutral tones allows the vivid colors of the wall mural to remain the clear visual anchor of the interior.

Color combinations

The wallpaper is built on a rich palette of deep navy, indigo, teal, warm bronze, amber, and subtle purple undertones, balanced by a pure white background.

For adjacent walls and trim, crisp whites or cool off-whites maintain the clean, modern feel of the composition and allow the wallpaper to blend seamlessly into the room. If you prefer a richer, more enveloping atmosphere, a deep navy paint on adjacent walls can create a striking contrast that frames the mural. For upholstery and decorative accents, incorporating warm ochre, cognac leather, or muted rust tones creates a natural visual connection with the bronze watercolor highlights.
