Wallpaper - Whisper Shoreline II

Created by June Erica Vess, our Whisper Shoreline II wallpaper captures an expressive coastal landscape rendered with broad, painterly brushwork. Soft sky blues and airy whites drift across the upper horizon, while textured layers of slate gray, muted beige, chalky white, and subtle blush form the rocky shoreline below. The fluid horizontal composition gives the impression of ocean mist meeting coastal stone, bringing a calm, atmospheric presence to an interior. Like all Wallism wallpapers, this mural wallpaper is made-to-measure to fit your wall dimensions, printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, and designed to be straightforward to hang.

In the room

Because of its open, landscape-style composition, we especially like this design on a wider uninterrupted wall where the full sweep of the shoreline can stretch out. In a bedroom, placing it behind a low headboard allows the airy sky tones to rise naturally upward toward the ceiling, creating a gentle and restful backdrop.

It also works beautifully across a primary living room wall or behind a dining setting. The darker slate and stone tones anchor the lower half of the wall, so placing lower credenzas or sofas against it feels visually grounded without cutting off the expansive sky. For rooms with good natural daylight, the subtle tonal shifts between the soft blues and pale neutrals become especially nuanced throughout the day.

Styling it

To complement the painterly, atmospheric character of the wall mural, we suggest pairing it with clean-lined furniture that keeps the focus on the horizon:

• Choose low-profile furniture in light oak, bleached ash, or painted off-white finishes so the visual weight stays balanced beneath the shoreline.
• Introduce unbleached linen drapery, textured wool rugs, or slubby cotton cushions to echo the layered, tactile look of the brushstrokes without competing with the pattern.
• Incorporate matte black or brushed pewter accents in lighting fixtures or hardware to tie into the deeper slate gray brushwork in the foreground.

Color combinations

The artwork centers around a palette of soft sky blue, pale ocean mist, slate gray, sandy beige, and hints of blush pink.

To create a cohesive room palette, we recommend drawing from the soft background tones for adjacent painted surfaces. Warm off-whites, chalky creams, or very pale stone grays on neighboring walls and moldings will keep the room light and open. If you prefer more definition, deep charcoal or slate gray on painted interior doors or built-in cabinetry provides a striking contrast that echoes the darker brushwork along the shoreline.
