Wallpaper - Santorini I

Our Santorini I wallpaper by Nikita Jariwala captures an architectural village scene with blue ink-and-watercolor-inspired brushstrokes against a soft off-white background. What we especially like about this mural wallpaper is the balance between fluid watercolor washes and fine, expressive line work depicting domed roofs, stepped paths, and coastal village architecture. The two-tone blue and cream palette gives the mural an airy, illustrative character that makes a distinctive statement without overwhelming a room. Like all our wall murals, this design is made-to-measure to fit your exact wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

We see this wallpaper working beautifully as an accent wall in a living room, bedroom, or dining space. Because the illustration carries vertical movement along the hillside and village path, it draws the eye upward and works exceptionally well on taller walls or behind key focal points like a low headboard or sofa. In an entryway or hallway, the open composition and generous light-toned background help keep the space feeling uncluttered and bright.

On wider, uninterrupted walls, the full scenic composition has room to breathe. The contrasting cobalt blue tones and softer blue-grey washes reveal their painterly depth under natural daylight, while warmer evening lamplight softens the off-white ground and brings a cozy, intimate feel to the entire scene.

Styling it

To let the artwork stand out, we suggest pairing it with clean-lined furniture and simple, natural materials. Light wood pieces, such as pale ash or natural oak, complement the breezy Mediterranean mood without competing with the blue line work.

• Keep large upholstery in neutral off-white, oat, or light denim tones to echo the palette of the mural.
• Incorporate simple ceramic or matte terracotta decorative accents to add grounding earthiness alongside the crisp blue architectural forms.
• Choose understated window treatments in unbleached linen or sheer cotton that allow ample natural light to filter across the wall.

Color combinations

The artwork centers on deep cobalt and ink blues blended with softer cerulean and slate washes, all resting on a warm, off-white paper tone. When painting surrounding walls or trim, we recommend matching the warm off-white background for a unified, expansive feel. If you prefer more contrast, deep navy accents on cabinetry or interior doors create a handsome, tailored dialogue with the darker brushstrokes, while muted sandy beige or terracotta notes offer a natural warmth that balances the cooler blues.
