Wallpaper - Coastal Block Print I Blue

Our Coastal Block Print I Blue wallpaper by Yvette St. Amant features an expressive circular motif rendered in deep denim blue against a clean white backdrop. Concentric rings anchor the composition, surrounded by radiating brush marks that evoke the visual character of hand-painted ink and block printing. The varying density of the blue strokes creates a sense of rhythmic movement, while the open background keeps the overall artwork feeling fresh and graphic. Produced as a custom, made-to-measure wallpaper on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, it brings a distinct artistic focal point to modern spaces.

In the room

We see this design working particularly well as an accent wall in a living room, a private art studio, or a quiet meditation space. Because the central circular medallion carries strong visual weight and clear radial symmetry, it benefits from an uninterrupted wall where the full form can remain central and visible. Placing it behind a low sofa or along a main feature wall allows the graphic blue strokes to define the room's character without feeling visually crowded. In a studio or creative corner, the painted quality of the ink strokes adds an expressive focal point that balances clean, minimalist surroundings.

Styling it

When styling around this mural wallpaper, we suggest keeping surrounding furniture clean-lined and understated so the central motif remains the primary focus. Low-profile seating in neutral upholstery helps ground the space, while light or warm-toned woods provide a natural complement to the crisp blue and white palette. Minimalist ceramic pieces or simple matte accents work well alongside the organic brushwork, maintaining an uncluttered look that feels modern and considered.

Color combinations

The primary palette of the wallpaper consists of rich denim blue and crisp white. For surrounding walls and trim, clean whites or soft off-whites create a seamless, cohesive backdrop that lets the blue motif stand out clearly. To build depth throughout the room, you can echo the pattern with deeper navy or indigo accents in textiles and decorative pieces. Alternatively, introducing muted warm neutrals on adjacent surfaces provides a gentle, balanced contrast against the cooler blue tones.
