Wallpaper - Birds of Paradise Blue

Our Birds of Paradise Blue wallpaper, designed by Imary, captures an expressive botanical scene filled with finely detailed hummingbirds among lush banana leaves, tropical foliage, and delicate blooms. Rendered with a soft, watercolor-like appearance, the illustration layers muted sea green, sage, and smoky grey foliage beneath an atmospheric, cloud-filled sky. Muted coral, dusty pink, and touches of deep blue bring the plumage and flower petals to life without overpowering the serene composition. Printed to order on PVC-free paper with a subtle paper texture, this made-to-measure design brings an artistic botanical atmosphere to any wall.

In the room

Because the dense foliage anchors the bottom half of the mural while the painterly sky opens up the upper section, this design works especially well on a wide, uninterrupted wall in a living room or primary bedroom. Placing a lower-profile sofa or headboard against the wallpaper allows the rich leaves to frame your furniture while keeping the soaring hummingbirds completely visible. In a bedroom, the balanced, earthy palette creates a peaceful visual backdrop that does not overwhelm the space. For a dedicated meditation room or quiet study, the panoramic landscape gives the entire room a tranquil, immersive garden feel.

Styling it

We recommend keeping large furniture relatively restrained in form so the intricate botanical linework takes center stage. Mid-tone natural woods, such as walnut or warm teak, echo the heritage, botanical aesthetic of the illustration and bring grounding warmth to the room. When choosing upholstery and larger accents, matte textures like washed linen or smooth bouclé in neutral stone tones balance the visual detail of the leaves. Clean, understated silhouettes ensure the wall mural remains the focal point without making the room feel busy.

Color combinations

The wallpaper is built on a nuanced base of muted sea green, soft slate, and dusty olive, complemented by accents of warm coral, pale rose, and cream against a hazy blue-grey sky. To create a seamless, harmonious look, paint adjacent walls or baseboards in a soft chalky off-white or a gentle, greyed sage. If you prefer subtle contrast, picking up the dusty coral from the hummingbird feathers and floral accents through ceramic decor, throw pillows, or window treatments adds a thoughtful layer of color that ties back into the mural wallpapers.
