Wallpaper - Simple Lemons

Our Simple Lemons wallpaper by Jenaya Jackson brings a cheerful, graphic still life to the wall with clear outlines and flat, playful color. At the center, four bold yellow lemons rest on a bright cobalt blue plate, accented by small green leaves and subtle red-and-yellow contour lines. The background divides into a lively red and white checkered pattern across the upper half and soft peach and pale green washes below. The painterly, flat illustration style gives the entire composition a vintage French country kitchen character. Produced made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical paper structure, this design is straightforward to hang and creates an expressive focal point.

In the room

We especially like this design in a kitchen, dining room, or casual breakfast nook where a dedicated wall can showcase the full graphic composition. Because the artwork functions as a framed still life with distinct upper and lower background sections, it performs best on an uninterrupted wall area where the plate and lemons remain clearly visible above counters, a dining table, or low seating. In a bright kitchen with ample daylight, the contrast between the crisp red checkerboard and the sunny yellow fruit stands out with wonderful clarity, while the softer peach and green lower section helps anchor the design near eye level.

Styling it

The graphic outlines and retro bistro character of our wall murals make them easy to pair with both classic and modern kitchen furnishings.

• We recommend pairing this design with warm wood dining tables or painted shaker cabinets, allowing the vintage culinary feel to carry throughout the space without competing for attention.
• Keep surrounding tableware and decorative pieces relatively simple, letting white ceramic dishware or clear glassware echo the light tones of the checkered background.
• Introduce understated accents in matte blue or brushed metal hardware to naturally reflect the cobalt plate and warm red details in the artwork.

Color combinations

The design is built around primary yellow, rich cobalt blue, crisp white, and vibrant red, grounded by softer peach and leafy green in the lower composition. When choosing colors for adjacent painted walls or cabinetry, soft off-white or creamy buttermilk shades provide a clean, harmonious transition that lets the fruit pop. For a cozier direction, pull the muted peach or gentle sage green from the lower background onto surrounding trim or baseboards. If you prefer a bolder contrast, deep navy or warm terracotta on an adjoining wall or kitchen island creates a striking frame around the wallpaper.
