Wallpaper - Timber Clad, Graphite

Our Timber Clad, Graphite wallpaper brings the visual character of dark, vertical wood paneling into a contemporary interior. The design features wide vertical timber planks with flowing grain lines, subtle knot details, and organic tonal shifts that move between deep charcoal, soft graphite, and faded black. The vertical plank composition gives a strong sense of upward rhythm without feeling rigid, creating a deep, architectural presence on the wall. Produced made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical paper structure, it offers a grounded, textured look that is straightforward to hang.

In the room

In a living room or bedroom, we would use this design across an expansive feature wall behind a low-profile sofa or headboard. The vertical lines of the timber pattern naturally draw the eye upward, making it especially effective in rooms where you want to emphasize ceiling height. In an entryway, dining space, or a focused home office, wrapping the design around multiple walls creates a moody, enveloping backdrop that feels intimate and unified. Because the dark graphite palette has subtle variations in grain rather than high-contrast patterns, it sits comfortably on larger uninterrupted surfaces without overwhelming the space.

Styling it

To balance the depth of the dark wood pattern, we recommend pairing this wallpaper with contrasting materials and clean silhouettes. Low, horizontal furniture in warm woods or muted matte black helps ground the space without competing with the vertical grain of the wall. Natural woven textiles, such as a thick wool rug or textured upholstery in oatmeal, stone, or charcoal, bring tactile warmth that softens the dark palette. Clean-lined architectural lighting or fixtures with brushed brass, warm bronze, or black metal detailing complement the contemporary rustic feel.

Color combinations

The wallpaper is built on deep graphite, charcoal grey, and soft black tones with subtle washed-grey undertones in the grain. For adjacent painted surfaces and baseboards, we love pairing it with soft, muted off-whites, warm greys, or rich stony neutrals to create a balanced contrast. If you prefer a darker, monochromatic palette, neighboring walls painted in deep slate, charcoal, or dark olive create a seamless, sophisticated transition.
