Wallpaper - Neutral Coils I

Created by June Erica Vess, our Neutral Coils I wallpaper brings together sweeping, fluid ribbons across a deeply textured, charcoal-toned backdrop. What we particularly like about this design is the interplay between the organic, looped tan bands and the weathered, impasto-like visual texture underneath. The broad, flowing curves wind over and under one another, creating a calm rhythmic movement across the wall. In the room

Because of the generous scale of the looping curves, we see this working exceptionally well on a wide, uninterrupted wall in a living room, bedroom, or dining area. Giving the mural wallpaper space to unfold lets the large-scale movement carry across the entire room rather than getting cut off by tall bookcases or cabinets. In a living room, it anchors the space beautifully behind a low-slung sofa, while in a bedroom it creates an enveloping backdrop behind a headboard. The contrast between the warm tan coils and the dark charcoal ground also holds its own in rooms with abundant natural light, where the fine cracks and layered visual depth of the background can be appreciated up close.

Styling it
