Wallpaper - Scintilla, Heather Dust

Our Scintilla, Heather Dust wallpaper brings a subtle, atmospheric depth to the wall through soft, undulating clouds of muted heather and dusky mauve tones. Created by Wallism Studio, the design features delicate stippled and brushed visual textures that drift horizontally across the surface, giving the impression of gentle movement without overpowering the room. The low-contrast palette keeps the overall character quiet and understated, allowing the wall to feel dressed rather than demanding attention. Like all our wall murals, this design is made-to-measure to fit your wall dimensions, printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical paper structure that is straightforward to hang.

In the room

Because the contrast across Scintilla, Heather Dust is soft and continuous, we see this working exceptionally well across all four walls in a bedroom or a cozy reading snug. In a living room or dining area, it creates a serene backdrop behind a sofa or low sideboard, adding warmth and visual interest to large, uninterrupted wall areas without competing with artwork or furniture. In spaces with softer afternoon or evening lighting, the dusky rose and heather undertones reveal a quiet warmth that feels deeply inviting, while ample daylight highlights the fine, speckled details throughout the composition.

Styling it

We suggest balancing the soft, dusty mauve tones with clean-lined furniture and grounded material accents.

• Warm wood tones such as walnut, teak, or stained oak provide a natural grounding element that complements the muted rose-brown base.
• Matte black metal or aged bronze lighting fixtures add crisp visual definition against the soft, diffused backdrop of the mural wallpapers.
• Layered textiles in off-white, taupe, or deep plum can echo the tonality of the wall without introducing distracting graphic patterns.

Colour combinations

The palette of our wallpaper is built around muted heather, dusty mauve, soft rose, and subtle ash-grey undertones. When painting surrounding walls or selecting large interior pieces, soft chalky whites, warm stone, and deep charcoal work naturally to frame the design. For a richer, more tonally unified look, deeper shades of aubergine, dried fig, or muted burgundy create a sophisticated dialogue with the heather base.
