Wallpaper - Scintilla, Flint

Our Scintilla, Flint wallpaper features a subtle, drifting wave pattern rendered in tonal shades of slate and mid-grey. Fine stippling and soft horizontal grain give the visual impression of gentle movement, creating depth across the wall without high-contrast distraction. Designed by Wallism Studio, this quiet design provides a balanced background for everyday living. Like all our wallpapers, it is custom made-to-measure, PVC-free, and printed on paper with a subtle physical surface structure that makes it straightforward to hang.

In the room

We see this design working naturally across all four walls in a bedroom, living room, or home office where you want an understated, cohesive backdrop. Because the horizontal drifting texture carries very low contrast, it handles interruptions from doors, windows, and shelving with ease. In spaces with varying natural daylight, the fine stippling catches shifting shadows softly, giving larger uninterrupted walls a calm visual depth throughout the day without dominating the room.

Styling it

The cool, mineral quality of this wallpaper pairs comfortably with clean, contemporary furniture as well as warm interior accents that soften the grey palette.

We would combine this design with warm timber finishes such as walnut or natural ash, which balance the cool flint grey of the wall. Matte black accents or brushed metal fixtures also connect naturally with the darker stippled details in the motif, anchoring the space without competing with the gentle texture.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is composed of cool flint, graphite, and mid-grey tones. To build around these shades, we suggest pairing the wall with crisp off-white or soft alabaster paint on adjacent surfaces and woodwork to keep the room open. For upholstery and larger textiles, deep charcoal, muted navy, or earthy rust tones provide a grounded contrast that highlights the grey base.
