Wallpaper - Ginkgo Folia, Smoky Quartz

Our Ginkgo Folia, Smoky Quartz wallpaper layers fan-shaped ginkgo leaves in a rhythmic, cascading composition. Designed by Wallism Studio, the motif balances fine, radiating line work with a subdued palette of smoky taupe, soft quartz grey, and subtle warm undertones. The overlapping foliage creates a gentle scallop-like geometry across the surface, giving the botanical pattern an orderly, understated flow. Like all Wallism wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure to fit your wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure.

In the room

We see this design working beautifully across an entire bedroom or living room, where the rhythmic repeat creates an enveloping, grounded feel without overwhelming the space. Because the contrast between the leaves and the background is gentle, the pattern can easily span all four walls rather than just a single accent wall. In a dining area or hallway, the fan shapes provide an architectural cadence that draws the eye horizontally along the room. The subtle shift in tone between the leaf layers reads clearly in balanced daylight and takes on a warmer, moodier depth under soft evening lamps.

Styling it

The structured botanical shapes and subdued quartz tones make this design easy to integrate with varied interior styles, from contemporary minimalist settings to heritage-inspired spaces. We would pair it with tailored upholstery in muted ecru, charcoal, or washed taupe to let the leafy pattern provide the visual interest.

Warm, medium-toned woods such as walnut or smoked oak complement the earthy base tones of the wallpaper, while matte black metal or brushed bronze accents echo the delicate dark line work within each ginkgo leaf.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is grounded in smoky quartz, taupe, and soft grey-brown tones, outlined with delicate charcoal detailing. To create a seamless transition around the room, we suggest pairing it with warm off-white or mushroom-grey paint on adjacent walls and woodwork. For a richer, more tailored atmosphere, deeper charcoal, espresso, or muted olive accents work particularly well alongside the natural grey-brown base.
