Wallpaper - Grain Clad, White Wash

Our Grain Clad, White Wash wallpaper brings the gentle visual texture of vertical wood planks into a refined, understated design. We particularly like how the subtle wood grain and soft bleached timber tones create warmth without feeling visually heavy or rustic. The vertical plank structure gives the wall height and rhythm, while the pale grey-beige wash keeps the overall impression soft and luminous. Printed to your exact dimensions, our PVC-free wallpapers are easy to hang and feature a subtle physical structure in the paper that complements the visual depth of the grain.

In the room

In a living room or bedroom, this design works beautifully as a feature wall behind a sofa or headboard, introducing architectural character where you might otherwise have a plain flat surface. Because the contrast between the planks is soft and cohesive, it also sits comfortably across several adjacent walls in an open-plan dining space or hallway. The vertical orientation of the boards draws the eye upward, making it especially effective in rooms with standard or lower ceilings. In spaces with ample natural daylight, the gentle shifts between cool pale greys and warmer ash tones become particularly distinct, while ambient evening lighting enhances its cozy, grounded quality.

Styling it

We recommend letting the clean vertical geometry of the pattern balance soft, contemporary furniture silhouettes. Low-profile seating in textured upholstery, such as boucle or woven wool, creates an inviting tactile dialogue with the visual wood grain. For surrounding furniture, we would choose either matte black accents to give the pale timber look a modern graphic anchor, or painted cabinetry in muted neutral tones to keep the room open and airy.

Color combinations

The design itself centers on muted white-washed timber hues, blending soft oatmeal, pale taupe, cool grey, and natural blonde wood tones. To complement this palette, we suggest pairing it with clean off-white or light warm greys on adjoining walls and baseboards. If you want to introduce deeper contrast, rich charcoal, soft olive, or warm terracotta in surrounding upholstery and accents will highlight the pale undertones of the wallpaper while keeping the space cohesive.
