Clara Hallencreutz Wallpapers & Wall Murals

Clara Hallencreutz is a Stockholm-based artist whose practice is rooted in a deep connection to the natural world. Her collection for Wallism, Heirloom Summer, began as original hand-painted murals before being translated into wallpapers, and that origin shows. The designs carry a warmth and quiet imperfection that comes from working by hand, with botanical motifs that feel gathered from a Nordic garden at the height of summer.

Rooms that suit the Heirloom Summer collection

These wallpapers work particularly well in rooms where you want a calm, lived-in feeling. In a bedroom, the soft floral patterns have a restful quality without tipping into the overly decorative. A living room or dining area can carry one of the larger designs as a focal wall, giving the space a painterly character that feels collected rather than styled. The collection also suits hallways and home offices well, where the finer detail of the wildflower motifs can be appreciated at closer range.

Pairing with materials and colours

The Heirloom Summer wallpapers sit naturally alongside light wood furniture, linen curtains and woven wool textiles. Muted, earthy tones in the rest of the room give the botanical artwork space to breathe, while keeping the overall look grounded and cohesive. The designs hold their own in rooms with a little more colour too, though a restrained supporting palette tends to let the hand-painted quality of the artwork come through most clearly.

One feature wall or something wider

A single feature wall is often the most effective starting point, particularly with the larger-scale designs. It anchors the room without committing every wall to the same visual weight. That said, the motifs are calm enough in character to carry across more than one wall in a smaller room, or in a space where you want the botanical feeling to be more immersive. The collection's gentle palette and organic lines mean it rarely feels like too much, even when used more broadly.

Each wallpaper is made to measure for your wall. A peel-and-stick option is also available if that suits your installation preference.
