Wallpaper - Playful Vase III

Created by artist Cheryl Warrick, our Playful Vase III wallpaper brings a bold, graphic still life to the wall. The composition centres on a speckled turquoise vase filled with stylised white and pink roses against deep midnight blue, resting on a coral-red and cream checkered tabletop. With print-like linework, textured surfaces, and vibrant colour blocking, this wall mural creates an expressive focal point in any living area, kitchen, or dining space. Like all Wallism wallpapers, it is made-to-measure to fit your wall dimensions and produced on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface texture.

In the room

We love this design as a statement wall where its playful geometry and rich contrast can take centre stage. The strong graphic presence makes it particularly effective in a dining room, an open-plan kitchen, or a welcoming hallway where the bold floral motif immediately sets a cheerful, creative mood. Because the composition has clear horizontal division between the checkered surface and the deep blue backdrop, we recommend placing it on a relatively open wall where the vase and surrounding leaves remain unobstructed by high furniture.

In spaces with good natural light, the subtle print textures across the petals and background reveal lovely depth, while warm ambient lighting in the evening accentuates the saturated blue and glowing coral tones.

Styling it

The distinct graphic character of this mural wallpaper invites straightforward, design-led furniture that lets the illustration lead.

• Clean-lined contemporary furniture in warm mid-tone wood or painted matte finishes pairs naturally with the illustrated shapes without competing for attention.
• Keep surrounding textiles simple and textured, choosing unpatterned cushions or upholstery that echo the warmth of the coral tabletop.
• Introduce decorative accents in ceramic or terracotta to mirror the still-life theme and grounding feel of the vase.

Colour combinations

The design balances cool and warm tones with intention. The dominant deep blue and bright turquoise are countered by the coral red of the checked table and the soft blush-pink contours of the roses.

When choosing paint colours for adjacent walls or woodwork, a soft off-white or light warm cream provides an effortless, crisp transition. For a cozier and more immersive feel, drawing out the deep navy or pairing with a muted terracotta tone on surrounding trim creates a beautifully coordinated, sophisticated interior.
