Wallpaper - Desert Wandering

Designed by Pamela Munger, our Desert Wandering wallpaper brings an expressive landscape composition to the wall. Broad, painted brushstrokes depict rolling hills and distant desert mountains under an open sky, grounded by textured patches of scrub, desert greenery, and warm sand. Soft shades of terracotta, blush, earthy ochre, sage, and olive green blend with muted lavender and sandy neutrals to create an expansive, painterly horizon. Like all our wall murals, this design is made to measure to your exact dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

Because the motif is built around a wide, panoramic horizon, we see this working particularly well across a larger, uninterrupted wall. In a living room or behind a low bed in a bedroom, the landscape has space to stretch out without tall furniture breaking the gentle rhythm of the hills. The horizontal movement adds a sense of openness to wide spaces or dining areas, while the soft, grounded palette keeps the room feeling calm and settled.

Styling it

To let the painterly character of the wallpaper stand out, we suggest pairing it with quiet, understated furnishings. Low-profile furniture in natural finishes helps keep the horizon line clearly visible across the room.

• Choose low-slung seating or low-backed bed frames that leave the mountain silhouette in full view.
• Introduce warm wood tones or light oak to echo the sandy and ochre tones in the foreground.
• Keep surrounding upholstery and rugs in soft neutral weaves, such as undyed wool, so the brushwork remains the main decorative focus.

Colour combinations

Our wallpaper combines warm desert tones with cool, muted landscape accents. You will find sandy beige, pale blush, terracotta, and ochre alongside soft olive green, deep sage, and subtle hints of dusty purple. When decorating adjacent walls or woodwork, we recommend echoing these softer foundation shades with warm off-white, light taupe, or a chalky biscuit tone. For subtle contrast, muted olive or dusty rose accents work beautifully on painted trim or soft furnishings.
