Wallpaper - Freesia

Our Freesia wallpaper brings a botanical meadow scene to the wall with the delicate look of classic watercolour painting. Illustrated blooms and slender stems in soft lilac, blush, muted coral, and warm creamy yellows rise upward against a gently aged, earthy beige backdrop with faded botanical silhouettes in the background. The vertical movement of the wild freesia flowers anchors the lower portion of the wall while leaving generous breathing room above, creating an airy, peaceful balance. Made-to-measure on our PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, this design brings a serene, vintage-inspired atmosphere to living rooms, bedrooms, and quiet home libraries.

In the room

We especially like how the vertical flow of this wallpaper anchors the space naturally along the bottom of the wall, allowing the upper section to stay light and open. In a bedroom, placing this design behind a headboard lets the blooming botanicals frame the bed while preserving a calm, uncluttered sightline across the rest of the room. It works just as beautifully on a main living room wall or wrapped around a peaceful home library, where the meadow motif creates a quiet, contemplative backdrop without overwhelming adjacent walls.

Because the detailed flower heads and slender stems concentrate across the lower half to two-thirds of the composition, the design benefits from low-profile furniture that allows the delicate line work and petal details to remain visible. In rooms with generous daylight, the soft transitions between lavender, blush, and warm yellow tones become especially clear, while warmer evening lighting enhances the antique, weathered quality of the beige background.

Styling it

The heritage, botanical character of this wallpaper pairs naturally with classic and French country interior elements. We would balance the delicate floral detail with grounded, painted wooden furniture in soft antique whites or warm muted greys. Low-backed seating and open shelving help ensure the artwork remains uncluttered, letting the natural rhythm of the stems carry the room.

For surrounding textiles, we suggest choosing simple, unpatterned fabrics that pick up on the gentle countryside feel. Heavy-weave cushions or simple drapery in unbleached, natural yarns complement the botanical theme without competing with the illustration's fine linework.

Colour combinations

Our Freesia mural wallpapers feature a refined palette of soft lilac, muted coral, blush pink, and pale butter yellow set against an earthy, parchment-like beige background with olive green stems.

When choosing paint colours for surrounding walls, woodwork, and skirting, warm off-whites, clotted cream, or soft oat tones create a seamless and gentle transition. For a slightly more defined accent on doors or fitted cabinetry, a muted vintage sage green or a dusky rose drawn directly from the petals provides an understated, harmonious contrast.
