Wallpaper - Autumn Grass, Canvas Structure

Created by Avery Tillmon, our Autumn Grass wallpaper captures the quiet atmosphere of tall grasses swaying in a soft breeze. The design features loose, watercolour-style brushstrokes in muted ochre, gentle wheat tones, washed lavender, and soft grey-green rising against an eggshell white background with a painted canvas-like visual texture. Delicate paint splatters and translucent washes give the composition an airy, fluid quality that brings subtle movement to a wall. Our wallpapers are made-to-measure to fit your room dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

Because the motif rises naturally from the bottom of the wall and fades into open space towards the top, this design works beautifully across larger uninterrupted walls in a bedroom or living room. We particularly like it behind a low headboard or a sleek sofa, where the upper watercolour washes remain unobstructed and preserve the sense of height in the space. In a quiet meditation room or reading corner, the gentle rhythm of the vertical stems creates a tranquil, uncluttered backdrop without overwhelming the surrounding interior.

Styling it

We recommend pairing this design with simple, organic modern furnishings that echo its light and fluid character. Low-profile furniture in pale woods such as ash or natural oak anchors the room while allowing the artwork to breathe. For textiles, unbleached cotton or sheer curtains in neutral tones help maintain an airy feel, complemented by brushed ceramic vases or minimalist pottery. Keeping decorative accessories understated ensures the delicate watercolour details remain the focal point of the space.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is built on an eggshell white base layered with muted straw yellow, soft ochre, delicate grey-lavender, and earthy green washes. To complement these tones, we suggest styling with warm off-whites, pale stone, or soft greige on neighbouring painted surfaces and woodwork. If you want to introduce a subtle accent colour in cushions or throws, a muted clay or soft olive green draws out the delicate pigment variations in the grass stems naturally.
