Wallpaper - Paris Scene Sketch I

Our Paris Scene Sketch I wallpaper captures the architectural charm of a Parisian street through expressive black brushstrokes against a clean white background. Created by Jenaya Jackson, this design features an illustrative view toward the Eiffel Tower, framed by classic Parisian apartment buildings, a street cafe with outdoor seating, and birds in the open sky. The loose, hand-drawn character gives the streetscape a light and airy feel while maintaining clear architectural structure. Made to measure and PVC-free, our wallpapers are produced with a subtle paper texture that complements the artistic quality of the linework.

In the room

In a living room or open-plan dining space, we see this wall mural working particularly well as an accent wall where the vertical height of the Eiffel Tower can draw the eye upward. Because the design has a clear focal point and open negative space across the upper sky, placing it on a wider, relatively uninterrupted wall allows the street perspective to unfold naturally without feeling crowded by surrounding architecture.

The black and white palette also makes our design adaptable for spaces such as a home office, hallway, or bedroom. In a hallway or entryway, the perspective drawing adds a sense of depth, creating an engaging view as you move through the space.

Styling it

We would pair this expressive sketch with simple, well-defined furniture that lets the graphic linework stand out. Mid-century modern or contemporary silhouettes in warm wood tones, such as teak or walnut, bring organic warmth alongside the monochrome illustration.

For surrounding seating and tables, clean shapes and matte black metal details create a cohesive connection with the dark ink strokes of the mural. Soft woven textiles in neutral tones keep the room comfortable while maintaining a clear, uncluttered visual balance against the detailed street scene.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper itself consists of a high-contrast palette of crisp off-white and deep black. Because the motif is entirely monochrome, it pairs effortlessly with a wide spectrum of interior colours.

For adjacent painted walls, soft neutral shades such as warm chalky white, stone, or pale grey keep the overall atmosphere bright and cohesive. If you prefer deeper contrast, rich charcoal or deep forest green on surrounding woodwork and trim can frame the mural beautifully while grounding the room.
