Wallpaper - Boho Peacock Feathers, Grass & Butter

Our Boho Peacock Feathers, Grass & Butter wallpaper by RNM Arts presents a striking, rhythmic display of stylised peacock plumes set against a deep black backdrop. What we particularly like about this design is the balance between sweeping, painterly green fronds and luminous butter-yellow eyes punctuated by delicate radial sun motifs. The fluid movement of the feathers creates a rich, organic texture across the surface, giving the pattern an expressive bohemian character. Made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical structure, our wall murals are straightforward to hang and bring a confident focal point to any interior.

In the room

Because of the rich contrast between the dark ground and the vibrant plume details, we see this working exceptionally well on a feature wall in a bedroom or a living room. In a bedroom, placing this mural behind the headboard allows the upward flow of the feathers to draw the eye upward and anchor the space without overwhelming the rest of the room.

For a living room or a dining area, we would give this design a relatively uninterrupted wall so the full rhythm of the plumage has space to unfold. The dense repeat and deep palette also make it an exciting choice for smaller, enclosed spaces like an entryway or a study, where bold wallpapers can wrap the entire room to create an intimate, cocooning atmosphere.

Styling it

When styling around this design, we prefer to balance its lively pattern with clean lines and tactile natural materials. Warm timber pieces, such as mid-tone oak or darker walnut furniture, ground the greens and complement the botanical undertones of the feathers.

Upholstered furniture in plain, woven fabrics helps keep the focus on the wall mural while maintaining a relaxed, bohemian feel. To echo the delicate yellow details within the plumage, subtle accents in brushed brass or muted ochre ceramics create a cohesive connection without competing for visual attention.

Colour combinations

The pattern itself is built around a dramatic contrast of jet black, deep grass greens, chartreuse accents, and soft buttery yellow highlights.

When choosing colours for surrounding walls, woodwork, or adjacent cabinetry, warm neutrals such as soft linen, biscuit, or pale stone keep the overall space light and balanced. If you prefer a richer and more enveloping palette, pairing the wallpaper with deep forest greens or charcoal trims creates a seamless, sophisticated transition around the room.
