Wallpaper - Earthen Vessels

Created by Albena Hristova, our Earthen Vessels wallpaper presents a rich still-life composition of handcrafted ceramic pots and urns. Set against a dark, painterly backdrop, the vessels showcase textured oil paint details, subtle geometric line carvings, chevrons, and earthy terracotta, clay, beige, and warm brown tones. The horizontal arrangement brings a grounded, timeless atmosphere to an interior, celebrating artisan pottery through expressive brushwork. Our mural wallpapers are made-to-measure, PVC-free, and printed on paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

We see this design working beautifully on a main feature wall in a dining room, kitchen, or living room, where the wide composition of pottery can sit comfortably across an unbroken surface. Positioning this wallpaper behind a dining table or low sideboard keeps the vessels in full view while anchoring the surrounding space. It also brings a quiet, contemplative character to a dedicated study, home library, or meditation room. For an entryway or hallway, the warm earthy tones create an inviting, grounded first impression as guests arrive.

Styling it

To complement the rustic, painterly quality of the design, we suggest pairing it with furniture and accents that share an appreciation for organic warmth:

• Choose furniture in natural, mid-toned or dark woods such as walnut, oak, or reclaimed timber to echo the pottery's grounded, traditional feel.
• Incorporate tactile, matte ceramics, unglazed earthenware, or textured stone tabletop decor to mirror the artistic vessels in the mural.
• Keep surrounding textiles simple and natural, using unbleached linens or wool upholstery in muted sand or oatmeal tones.

Colour combinations

The artwork centres on deep terracotta, umber, sand, beige, and muted clay tones, framed by a moody dark background. On adjacent painted walls or woodwork, soft neutral shades like warm stone, oatmeal, or muted cream create a balanced backdrop that lets the mural stand out. If you prefer a richer, more enveloping interior, deep espresso browns, warm charcoal, or muted olive tones on trims and cabinetry will seamlessly enhance the darker shades of the painting.
