Wallpaper - Greetings from New York City - Screenprint Postcard

Our Greetings from New York City wallpaper brings the charm of a vintage 1930s screenprint postcard into the home. Set against a warm saffron yellow backdrop, the design showcases three circular vignettes featuring the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, and the RCA Building at Rockefeller Center, complemented by classic postcard lettering. The graphic composition and retro print character give the motif an energetic, graphic presence. Produced to order as a made-to-measure mural wallpaper, this PVC-free design features a subtle paper structure that adds depth across the wall.

In the room

Because of the bold circular framing and distinct postcard lettering, we see this design working best on an uninterrupted feature wall where the full layout can be appreciated without being broken up. In a living room, placing it behind a low sofa gives the iconic architectural vignettes room to breathe, anchoring the seating zone with graphic visual interest. It also works brilliantly in a hallway or dedicated study, where the nostalgic travel theme and rich yellow ground inject character into everyday transitional or creative spaces.

Styling it

We recommend pairing this wallpaper with mid-century modern or vintage-inspired furniture with clean, tailored lines. Low-profile seating in charcoal, deep navy, or dark wood tones helps ground the energetic saffron yellow without competing for attention. To keep the focus firmly on the graphic postcard motif, keep surrounding accessories relatively simple, perhaps incorporating matte black metal lighting or understated framed photography that echoes the historic urban theme.

Colour combinations

The palette centres on warm saffron yellow, accented by crisp sky blues, deep charcoals, and graphic black line work within the architectural circles. In the surrounding room, soft off-whites, warm greys, or muted slates work beautifully on adjacent walls and woodwork, allowing the yellow backdrop to pop. If you prefer a richer, more cohesive interior, pulling out deep navy or warm terracotta accents in upholstery and cushions connects naturally with the print's retro character.
