Wallpaper - Truro England Skyline Blue & Bronze

Our Truro England Skyline Blue & Bronze wallpaper, created by Michel Tompsett, presents the architectural profile of Truro in a expressive watercolour-style composition. The design captures recognisable landmarks, including the spires of Truro Cathedral and the historic viaduct, rendered in rich navy blues, deep indigos, and warm bronze ochres against a clean, plain white background. Watercolour splatters and bleeding pigment wash downwards from the base of the skyline, creating an artistic horizontal silhouette. Custom made to measure and PVC-free, this design introduces bold urban character to your interior.

In the room

We see this design working particularly well as a focal feature in a living room or a dedicated study. Because the skyline stretches horizontally across the lower and middle portions of the wall with generous white space above, it creates a grounded yet airy feel that does not overwhelm the space.

In a living room, placing this wallpaper along an uninterrupted wall behind a low sofa allows the prominent cathedral spires and arching viaduct to remain clearly visible. For a study or home office, installing the mural behind a desk or low shelving brings a refined, architectural focus to the working environment. The high contrast between the deep pigments and the white backdrop gives the wall graphic clarity, making it an excellent anchor for the room.

Styling it

To balance the bold watercolour silhouettes, we would keep the surrounding furniture tailored and uncluttered. Clean-lined contemporary pieces or mid-century shapes work well alongside the architectural linework without competing for attention.

Warm wood tones, such as teak or medium oak, naturally complement the bronze and ochre elements in the skyline. For metallic accents, incorporating aged brass or brushed bronze lighting fixtures and hardware will subtly echo the warm undertones of the print, while dark blue or charcoal upholstery can help ground the room.

Colour combinations

The design centres on a rich palette of deep navy, indigo, warm bronze, ochre, and rust, all framed by a crisp white ground.

When choosing paint colours for adjoining walls and trim, a warm off-white or soft ivory keeps the room bright and allows the artwork to stand out cleanly. If you prefer a moodier atmosphere, pairing the wallpaper with adjacent walls painted in deep navy or slate blue can create an enveloping, cohesive space. For accessories and textiles, muted terracotta, warm amber, and burnt orange draw out the bronze tones within the watercolour wash.
